My friend MJ just sent in these pics of him charging some Sunset Beach winter swell on his new Naish 9'3 while I was away for a few days.
The Naish 9'3 is a sick little board with a nose that's pulled up way back so you can drop in on really steep take-offs. (More pictures and info to follow on the Naish 9'3).
It's peak winter in South Africa, and as usual we've had some great surfing conditions in South Africa. The winter has been pretty nippy, at times we hit the water at 8am when it's about 7 or 8 degrees celcius, although the water temperature is a bit warmer at about 15 degrees.
As always, MJ's showing some good style, and that in front of the likes of ex pro surfers Sean Holmes.
